Photographer's Note
At the jetty at Kingcote there's a bloke that makes a living feeding the Pelicans. They gather around him scavaging fish from him, whilst he provides an amusing pater to a crowd of tourists. All participants seem happy with the arrangment. Here is one of his customers, close up.
The Australian Pelican is the largest species of Pelican standing up to 1.8m with a wingspan of 3.4m. They can live up to 25 years.

Hi Stephen,
Excellent close view of this pelican. I like your composition as also how the yellow eye socket and pink beak stand out against the white. Well done!

Hello Stephen
Excellent close-up. The detail in the different textures is exceptional. Natural colours. Good idea. Tfs, Marlene

Truly remarkable photo, fot its very sharp and clean details and for the composition, a collection of head parts of a pelican that summarizes very well its peculiar features.
