Photographer’s Note

The historic township of Burra in the Mid North of South Australia has a history steeped in mining, predominantly copper in the mid 19th century. As a result there are many reminders still there today.

This old mining dray inhabits a quiet corner behind one of the many museums in the town. The building itself was the headquaters to one of the mining companies.

Post processing: Minor adjustment to Levels with Unsharp Mask at 1.0 pixel. Original picture cropped a little to highlight the wagon.

Nice photo David! Interesting and with great colours. You have a wonderful sky now, you should see ours.

Great composition and POV. Like the different textures of the building and the dray. To me, typically Australian especially with that glorious blue sky! Well done and TFS. :-)
