Photographer’s Note
I was walking through the back streets of Adelaide a few years ago with a small pocket camera and saw this crazy 3 storey car park. All 3 stories on the exterior had old matchbox cars glued to the brickwork, there are literally thousands of cars parked on the walls. So a car park with a twist, made me smile anyway.

Hi John. Sounds like a lot of matchbox cars- plenty for collectors to covet. Took me a while to figure out what was happening, then I read your note. At first i thought you must have been in a balloon, but then i couldn't figure out the giant red rectangles. A cheeky shot that would have kept us perplexed were it not for the note. regards. Klaudio.

what a cool wall! :-) i guess i could add a few matchbox cars too..although they would be around 30
years old now. great capture, could really have been a parking lot from above. terrific job & best wishes, thor.

Hi John, very good idea. It's like a wonderful pattern designed for a scarf or a shirt fabric. The rythn, and the feeling of texture are impressive. TFS, have a nice weekend.

Hi John,
Very attractive subject, it looks as if it was taken from the sky. You have captured it with an excellent composition in which whether it is model cars or actual cars or either is not judged easily. Color of bricks is also a nice match for this page color.
Have a nice weekend, Hisashi

Hi John,
wow! You're indeed gifted....in a sense of you see things nobody sees and you captured it very good.
I like your passion of photography. Nice to hear that you've your family to back you up.
What puzzle me is that the car park is like bricks- block of bricks instead of road tar. To me it's more like car-toys on the wall. fascinating photos you have.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi John,
Before I zoomed in from the thumbnail, I thought this was a photo of people praying - perhaps at a mosque or something. Now zoomed in, the photo still plays tricks on the eye (it took me more than a few blinks to come to the conclusion that these were toy cars).
It's a really interesting subject and nice colours, especially of the bricks. Good idea to include nothing in the photo except bricks and cars - this leads to the disorientation of scale effect.
Cheers!

Hello John
Very clever and well captured. To me the brickwork made the size of these cars very obvious. Different and funny. Tfs, Marlene

Wonderfully intriguing shot, John. Without reading the accompanying note, it took me a second to figure out what you had captured. The large dimensions of this photograph realize the enormity of the "car park": I had to scroll down on the browser window to take in the full shot. Good eye.

Hi John
Unique shot! It made me laugh. I like all the repetition seen here. It reminds me of birthday paper wrap. Hope you had a great 50th!
Take care,
Tosca
