Photographer’s Note
At an area of The Rock (Uluru) known as the 'Waterhole.' This is where the aboriginals used to hunt native kangaroo and other small mammals that came to the water to drink. On a brutally hot day it is also one of the few areas around Uluru where you can find trees to shade under. This place is of immense importance to the tribes of this region. The waterhole is surrounded by high sheer cliff faces on one side of which are interesting cave-like cuttings as pictured.
