Photographer’s Note
This is the complete panoramic view of floodplains and escarpments as seen from the top of Ubirr Rock in the East Alligator region of Kakadu National Park. It is a popular place to visit especially as the sun is setting.
This photo is 8 photos stitched together and the scene actually overlaps as the same clump of tussock grass can be seen on both the far left and the far right of the scene.
Unfortunately due to the extreme width of this photo and the size contraints of TE the resolution is quite low. More details of this spectacular view can be seen in the large version.

Hi Marlene,
A really interesting panorama and also a very good stitch. This is nearly the complete 360 degrees and, although limited resolution (which I can´t really see) there are many fine details to study all the way around!
Kind regards

dear Marlene,
a wonderful panorama of perfect 360 deg. view!
it is very natural and looks quite seamless.
(of course it is nice to make QT VR panorama movie)
the rock and the distant view make superb image space.
I can feel the wind and the light there so freshly.
thank you,
Akihisa

Hello my dear Marlene
What a bold framing!
Nice Panorama angle, color management and clear focus as usual. This approach is very good reference for me.
Thanks for sharing and best regards,
Have a nice weekend !

Dag Marlene,
Lovely panorama-view with all these people spread out over the landscape, exploring the surrounding. I don’t think they are looking for alligators on these rocks :- ))

Hello Marlene,
Is this a first of its kind on TE? I can't recall seeing any panorama as bold as this before. I agree the sharpness isn't perfect, otherwise I find it technically very well done and very fascinating. The people found here and there give an extra dimension to the amazing landscape.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Marlene,
what an interesting panoramic photo! (maybe because of the technical quality of the photo, it looks like a loooooong painting, doesn't it?) When I looked at the photo, slowly moving it, I had an effect of standing on the same place and slowly turning round to complete the 360 degrees circle. this gives a complete picture and makes a really nice effect! let alone the colours are very pleasant - thanks to the weather at that time? ;)
Kindest regards,
Elena

despite quality problems in the large version it is a very beautiful work, each area would produce a nice image. beautiful place and a nice image to show it. I tryed once to make a photo like this but I guess it is very complicated to post it here on TE
