Photographer’s Note
The chain running up Uluru in central Australia. This was just after opening time for the rock and no one was climbing. It is seen now as disrespectful to the traditional owners of this land to climb it. Whilst it is still possible most choose not to climb. The chain I believe was installed in the 1960s to bring tourists to the area. It makes a poignant legacy to the traffic jams of tourists of the past.

In my opinion, they should bring down the chain. I never been to Uluru but I do not see the point of climbing the rock.
For the photo, it is a pity the sky did not help and it seems to be lacking sharpness.

Hello Saxon
I have been amongst 'the traffic jams of tourists of the past' you have refered to. I have climbed to top of the rock and it was not an easy task - however I would not do it again if I were to revisit Central Australia. I would respect the traditional owners - and a walk around the base seems a respectful and safer alternative. Your message is appropriate.
Your composition is simple and effective - however the image is not sharp and the sky is white.
Tfs, Marlene
