Crimson Rosella (Platycercus elegans)
This type of parrot has mostly crimson red plumage and bright blue cheeks.The feathers of the back and wing coverts are black broadly edged with red.The flight feathers of the wings have broad blue edges and the tail is blue above and pale blue below.We were on the way to Wilsons Prom in Victoria, stopped for a coffee and started to set up my camera,when the bird flew on the fence next to us, I think this is a great pose.
