Photographer’s Note

The southernmost point of the Australian mainland, Wilsons Promontory (affectionately known to Victorians as 'the Prom') is arguably the most loved national park in Victoria. Its 130 km coastline is framed by granite headlands, mountains, forests and fern gullies. The park contains the largest coastal wilderness area in Victoria.

Norman is one of the beaches close to the Tidal River camping ground.

Hi Steve, great use of the vertical framing here to accentuate the seaweed in FG and the beautiful striations in the sand. Your DOF is also really good, excellent choice with the f/11. And what wonderful tones. Congratulations on another beauty, Lisa.

Hi Steve.
Marvellous 'Prom' shot, with the close-up of the weeds in the foreground, and the curvy lines in the sand leading the eye to the water. The ripples in the sand at the waterline match well the lines of waves further out. You didn't attempt to add too much contrast to this one, thankfully, and the light seems gentle as it should in Autumn. I always like this kind of shot, with the distant mountains providing a sense of great depth. I must go down there again soon.
Just told Santo that we ought to organise this get together, so I'll email people.
