Photographer’s Note
After walking through the sand dunes and tea trees for about a kilometre from the car park you get to Darby Bay. At one end of the bay is a granite outcrop, seen here, at at the other is a high sandstone cliff.
This image was taken about half an hour before sunset.

Great shot and angle. I really like how the foam moves across the shot diagonally, leading the eye towards the hill in the distance. Good use of the aperture as well with a nice deep DOF.

Hi Stephen,
very sharp details and very good pov. The clouds at the very far end really gives a good dof.
Nice photo,

Hello Steve,
A quality shot with stunning clarity of the FG details. The last moments of sunlight is magical, giving you the soft colour rendering on the landscape. That foam is rarely seen on beaches and you have certainly capitalize on it in this magnificent shot.

Hi Stephen,
It's always about the light, and here in this shot the light is wonderful. The way the thin line of foam seems to be glowing, the definition and texture on the pebbles and sand looks brilliant. I like your POV too, the close foreground leading to the bluff and low hills in the background along with that clear blue sky make an attractive and creative frame. The vertical crop is so well suited to the location, particularly with that line of foam cutting through the middle of the image.
Beautiful warm golden light and an attractive scene combine to make this a marvelous capture, well done.
Regards
Peter

Hi Steve, I really like the low POV here. I can see every grain of sand and yet in the distance, I can still see every detail in the BG. The colours and light play beautifully here. Well done and have a wonderful weekend, Lisa
