I've spent the last couple of weeks revisiting Victoria; Australia's smallest mainland state. Despite its size Victoria has some remarkable landscapes and in particular a very attractive southern coastline. This shows the very edge of Australian continent, where it abruptly ends facing Bass Strait and Tasmania. In fact, nothing sits between this land and Antarctica some 3,000 kilometres to the south except for a lot of cold and wild water. About five of the 'Twelve Apostles' can be seen here. The pile of rubble in the foreground was perhaps the best looking of the sea stacks until it fell over one morning in 2005. The formation is the highlight of visiting the Great Ocean Road.

Your picture brought back many happy memories as we visited here several years ago,and have the `rubble`intact in our photos.I thought the opposite side of coastline was as impressive as the `Apostles`

This is a very pleasant coöour combination, thr brown sand against the blue-green water and the blue sky. The different shades of the wet sand also provides a xery pleasant effect. A very beautiful beach!

Have not seen you post in a while. Good to see this one. Wow, the extra tall vertical format give extra depth on the landscape with multilayer of elemnet of sandy beach in different earth tones and white wave and turquoise water leading in toward those rocks rising up from the water reaching toward the sky. and those wispy featherly clouds are wonderful contrast to the beautiful blue sky. Great quality photo with very good details and well managed light.

The vertical format is a very good choice for this beautiful picture because it allows us to have a wide view on the beach, the rocks, the waves and the nice sky.

The vertical format has given you a lovely composition and the different lines of wet sand add interest to this well photographed scene. I must visit this area one day. Cheers, Marlene

Bien vu ton cadrage en hauteur, qui nous donne de belles perspectives.
Les couleurs sont agréables et cette plages assez paradisiaque.

how could anyone not enjoy a photo like this one! Really!
I think Lisa (delpeoples) has posted some photo's of these Apostles.
wow, the one in the foreground fell down in 2005? literally swept away!
I wonder if, and when the others will follow suit.
Beautiful photo, excellent exposure levels, and i really like the sweep of the soft skinny clouds for a nice smooth visual.
great post for a vertical composition.

Hi Matt, Good to see you on TE again. I like this tall frame of the famous landmarks along this beautiful coastline. The yellow sands and white foam make it vibrant colourful image. TFS. Murray

sono stato qui a maggio dell'anno scorso. Un luogo davvero spettacolare.
Ottima la prospettiva accentuata dal taglio verticale.

Look at our wonderful coastline - The Great Ocean Road - I think it was about three years ago when we did the tcp from Victoria to South Australia & of course I was not into photograph back then - I have only been taking photo's seriously for around 18 months...so much to learn about photography for me to take this kind of image - it is a fantastic photo. Well done.
