Sunset At Peechelba East, a photo from Victoria, East

Photographer's Note

We had been this barn on a previous visit to Victoria and couldn`t resist a second visit.
The roof of the barn is made up of used 40 gallon oil drum lids,apparently when it was built in the 1940s this was the only material available due to war shortages.

Could be a good albumcover from Midnight Oil ;=],unmistakeble Oz landscape with the gumtrees on the right and the ruins of old explorers
I still have good memories of Australia Les!

We know not these specially cloudy sky with these specially colors here in Europe, but I like your nice work.
This is certainly a specially barn built with oil drum lids.
A splendid panoramic view with pleasant colors.
Excellent composition, good captured.

Hello Leslie - Don't you just love the way rural people re-cycle and mend and make do? It sounds as if Australia and South Africa are similar in that respect. This is a striking shot; I like the fan of sunlight and shadows across the ground, the patterns in the clouds almost mimics them perfectly. By the looks of the barn it may not be there next time you visit! Lovely shot. Warm regards Rosemary
