Newport Lakes is a bush land park created, surprisingly, from a disused blue stone quarry and rubbish tip site.
The quarry was filled with water and the surrounding area planted with native plants. Seems to receive approval of wildlife as on the couple of hours we spent there turned up a good number of inhabitants, including a tortoise a snake & many birds. One of these was a New Holland Honey Eater.

Hi Steve. You hid this photo from us on the day and decided to give us a most pleasant surprise. Looking forward to the wagtail in its nest. A top shot with all the details of this delicate little bird.Great colours, particularly the yellow. Your lens has served you well. My compliments. Klaudio.

Wow, that long lens of yours did very well on this one and you did well to work your way into position to take the shot. Good enough to appear in a book on recognising birds. Very sharp and the subject well placed in the composition/crop. Well, I'll assume it's been cropped.
