Photographer's Note

Newport Lakes is a bush land park created, surprisingly, from a disused blue stone quarry and rubbish tip site.

The quarry was filled with water and the surrounding area planted with native plants. Seems to receive approval of wildlife as on the couple of hours we spent there turned up a good number of inhabitants, including a tortoise a snake & many birds. One of these was a New Holland Honey Eater.

Taken in the company of Andrew, Klaudio, Santo and Alfred (macondo, daddo, skippy007 and Alftrek)
