At Yarra Bend Park, the largest area of natural vegetation near the City of Melbourne, the landscape varies from steep, wild river escarpments to open woodlands, formal parkland, playing fields and golf courses. It has over 16 km of river frontage, and superb views of the city and the Dandenongs from the higher areas.

This image shows a section of the river just before sunset. taken with CPL and GND filters

Hello Steve,

Very nice reflections and light. The scene is well composed with fine details and good saturation of colours. I like this image because the scene is peaceful. This place must be very popular given the amount of attractione found there. Thanks Steve.

Roberto

Hi Stephen,
Really nice light in this photo with good saturation of colours and nice composition but I think the photo seems a little blurred. Not because of camera shake, but maybe because of the slow shutter speed and the tree moving in the wind. I'm not sure that f/32 would have added a great amount to the photo as there seems little need for a large DOF when all of the focus of the photo is up close, so maybe a smaller aperture and faster shutter would have worked better, but it's still a great photo!
Thanks for sharing, regards
Lee

This is very pretty, I love the reflection!! A beautiful tree and very nice colors. Very relaxing place. TFS

Hi Steve, I visited this park twice in May-June but never see what you saw here. Its a very appealing shot especially with the still water reflection and the kind of sunlight you have got on those eucalyptus trees. The saturation of the reflection in the water seems to be a little on the low side, perhaps due to the use of GND. This may be just my personal preference.

TFS a beautiful piece of work

Alfred

Hi Stephen. Very nice. the light has that special wintry glow, more mellow than in Summer. Lovely reflection and a balanced composition. Harmonious work. Regards. Klaudio.

TFS regards lukasz

Hi Stephen,
I always thought the light in Melbourne was better than Sydney, this shot proves it. Wonderful capture, the composition is superb. Looks like a Streeton.
cheers
Peter

Hi Steve, Beautiful shot, the colour & reflection are so real. I've tried several times at the same spot & come away with plenty of trash, This is an example of what I would be extremely happy with. Well composed, good colour & detail. Well done.
Cheers
Santo
