Photographer’s Note

It is strange how having lived in this area of Victoria for thirty years or so, I have only now discovered this view of the Yarra Valley and the Yarra Ranges.The shot is taken from Ridge Road in Kallista.

It's TE and my digital camera that have taken me on drives and walks into areas where I wouldn't have ventured before. A side benefit of my perambulations is
meeting people here and there, talking to them and discovering more things about my part of the world. For instance, I found out from a cafe proprietor nearby, that on Sundays, when the weather is clement, one can see balloons floating gracefully over this valley. So, that is another challenge awaiting me on some cold Sunday morning.

Such a beautiful view of the ranch, very refreshing. Good composition with layers of elements from the foreground all the way to the faded mountain. Although it's hazy but all the hills and forest are nicely visible with details. Color and light are well balanced with adequate saturation and contrast. A scene filled with nature's beauty. Thanks

Hi Klaudio,

Your look to valley is wonderful while adding live models. I like different tones of green textures under foggy weather there. Fog clouds between mountains says your timing is right. Great one, congratulations.

Ovaj vlazni oblak bas i ne uznemirava ove krave u svom poslu
Slika ,recimo, tipicna za svajcarsku ili Austriju ali je lepo videti takvu i iz Australije

Još jedna prelepa pastorala sa više planova u kompoziciji, pa malo gledan ono što je najbliže, pa ono u daljini. Fotografija čija je trema Sloboda i duboko udahnut čist vazduh. I ovde sam se lepo proveo, dragi prijatelju. Sve pohvale i pozdravi,

Hi Klaudio,
It's your positioning, looking down on these cows and over the hill to the valley below and clouds beyond them that makes this a great shot. Loosing the valley below to distance and the mist from the clouds makes this look huge, the cows are oblivious to the scene, you are not.

Hello Klaudio,

Maybe get we a balloon as next picture above the valley!
Sun and cows in foreground, clouds and misty atmosphere in background, this gives a nice composition.
Completely picture gives a excellent soft feeling and a very good presentation.

You're right, those cows must feel like they are in heavan, The cool breeze high above the clouds and the thick green grass. I especially like the way you captured the mist and the clouds.
