Autumn Sunset Photo

Photographer’s Note

this peaceful scene, so rural in aspect, is only 45 minutes or so from Melbourne and 5 minutes from my home. If you look at the horizon line, imagine the outline of the city to the right of the tree. The land is relatively flat all the way and it is only here, where i took this shot, that one begins to climb as this is the start of the Dandenong Ranges and the eucalyptus forests.
A difficult shot against the setting sun. Again, as in the previous shot, I had to brighten the picture in order to reveal the foreground.

Hi Kladio, there is something about a pasture scene with cattle that is very relaxing and to that you add a sunset. It works well. Even with the darkening conditions you have great shadow detail seen on those cows. The first thing to go is colour but we can still see the shades of light and dark. I like the glow around the cows from the setting sun, especially seen on the front cow. A difficult shot, but well handled.

kao i prethodna pastorala i ova mi je na srcu. Prosto mi je lepo kada vidim životinje u prirodnom ambijentu. Makar i kontrolisane, ali nevezane i čiste. Hvala ti puno za osećajnost i razumevanje mojih motiva. Mene fotografija obavezuje.

A fine view of sunset, especially the details in the FG of the cows which you've able to bring out. IMO this looks much better than if the cows were in silhouette. It is a difficult shot indeed & the result is very pleasing. Good work!
