Melbourne's lanes have become a haven and giant canvases for the graffito artists. I found myself in a relatively quiet part after dodging my way past the multitudes attending the White Night festival. Even here the people came in waves, leaving moments of relatively uncluttered scenes.
If you look at my workshop photo you can see what I mean by waves as the next deluge fills the alley.
I decided to call this photo Tattooed City as I did the previous one featuring projected images of tattooed bodies. Here the walls have been "tattooed"in colourful designs and tags.

very interesting picture which uses grafitti walls as very colorful settings. The group of people has been placed very thoughtfully and brings some life to the composition. Interesting idea to frame it vertically - well done!
Thanks for sharing

Well captured, perfect atmosphere with the good light management, well composed with people and very inbteresting decoration on these walls, well done.

When I was there with Andrew and Santo in my first evening in Melbourne, I haven't made any photos and then I somehow didn't go there any more, although it was quite near. Amazing lane with graffiti. HAha, they tattooed all the centimeter of walls and pavement.

Dobar dan, popodne.
Kod mene je - 09,30. sati.
Intresantan tekst o gradu, mestu i trenutku ...
Lep pogled na ulicu sa grafitima i nailsakom ljudi ...
Dobar trenutak snimka, ostrina, kontrast i perspektiva, lepo pokazano mesto i trenutak, lepe boje.
Mladi vole da ostave trag i obeleze mesta na kojima se druze.
Dobar rad, sa lepom fotofrafijom u radionici.
U Cupriji mladi ukrasavaju prolaze sa grafitima uz saglasnost stanara.
Prijatno popodne i sve najbolje sa dobrim zdravljem.

Brilliant photo with superb graffiti. I do not think I've seen something similar in my life. Unfortunately I've missed this place during my last visit to Melbourne (may be next time). I like the vertical arrangement, the young people add nice life to the scene.
Very well done
Wish you a very nice rest of the week.

Hello Klaudio, very nice image here. I'm a big fan of grafitti, i see it as a form of art, of expression. These things shouldn't be banned. Good take here, allowing us to see this corner of Melbourne. Good take.

una immagine straordinaria sia per il soggetto che per la luce con la quale è stato ripreso che crea una immensa suggestione.
Eccellenti sia la composizione che il colore.
Ciao e buona giornata

jo jedna sjajna noćna fotografija. Tehnički impresivno, kompozicija i boje tek neto ispod tog nivoa.

Now, I've never seen a streetscene with so much graffiti before.
I'm not really a fan of graffiti but you show us here an excellent and colourful daily life and urban scene.
Excellent light management.
Best regards, Paul

This photo from Melbourn reminds me Christiania in Copenhagen. And the local people there don't like to get photos of the faces too. ;)
There is a special mood on the night streets, well done.
Best wishes from Russia!

Amazing, the graffiti not only on the walls but on the road and pavement as well. The title suits this image so well.

For me, the tree and the light surrounding it are the drawing point of the shot. The figures even appear in awe of the tree. Great shot.

It is highly interesting to discover your series on Melbourne's graffiti lanes.
I particularly appreciate the night version, when the atmosphere brings an additional dimension of urbanity and gloominess. And against the black walls, the graffitis almost look fluorescent. The vertical composition seems to be the best option that suits the narrow alley and the main artwork on the wall.
