Looking at this image now It appears that it could have easily been posed and was part of a photoshoot.. Maybe?? However I can assure you it was just part of "Daily Life".. During a visit to Melbourne last year and a brief meet up with some of the great TE members in the wonderful City - we took a walk around the wonderful buildings linked to the great Yarra River.. These guys here were on their lunch on the steps of the Melbourne Conference Centre- why RED Ties and grey suits? who knows? but at least there is one loyal CANON user..

According to the clothing of the men would I thinking this are rich people, but their food is not a rich lunch.
Sharpness and clarity are very nice.
Great presentation, TFS.
Have a nice weekend,

I find this image absolutely great! Their expressions, their poses, their similar suits, it's instantly eye catching.
I would have slightly crop the right side to avoid showing half a face, but I have to admit that his expression is actually interesting. Great stuff!

Hi Rich. Pity I missed the chance to meet you. These men seem to be part of some delegation or a sports group- perhaps cricketers from the subcontinent. (The man on the right prefers to use his right hand rather than the plastic fork- a clue?) They all appear to have bought a similar dish. Definitely visitors/tourists of some sort.Anyhow, well caught as not one of them has realized your were taking the photo. Regards. Klaudio.

Hello Richard - This is a super shot. I love the close crop, the positioning of the men down the steps and their concentration on the food. Fantastic that they are all very similarly dressed ... love the red ties. Really well seen and an excellent DL shot. Warmest regards Rosemary

This is actually quite an amusing photograph - as well, of course, as being a picture very well taken and with excellent details, colours and sharpness.
I cannot help but wonder quite what conference or discussion group these fellows were attending in the Melbourne City Conference Centre. They are all immaculately dressed and all wearing grey suits and all (except for one) wearing red ties - and yet they are eating their lunches - some crap fast food stuff - sitting on the steps of the centre. These guys should really be dining like kings, not squatting beside the roadway scoffing cheap grub!
A fabulous comment on life!

how amazing the grey suits and red ties for everybody! Fully concerned by their meal!
Good street life picture

Now Australia also?
Last year I only went to Paris and NY, but in 2011, but I have traveled to India, so I can said for sure these guys are from there, or the four ones on the left
Funny the way they are so concentrated and didnt notice your capture
Greetings from a Nikon´s fan

I love the expression on the mans face sitting in the middle, great timing! Very much a "professional" looking lunch, captured very well to showcase the working man. Nice, tight framing and vertical composition makes for a good daily life moment. Sharp details, well executed. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Rich - what a funny and evocative shot! Lots of great expressions to look at here, with these guys so tightly packed onto the steps. They must be in a hurry - clearly they're together, yet there's no conversation or dawdling, just stuffing the food in. Add to that the similarities in dress and style and you have a really fascinating group of subjects here. Well presented - thanks!

You have managed capturing a very interesting, rather unusual and highly aesthetic daily-life scene. It was a very clever idea realized by you masterfully, with great composition and absolutely perfect quality. Excellent job!
