Photographer's Note
Sad monument detail from Lake Mountains in Yarra Valley, Victoria, Australia. Many years back this area suffered great damage caused by forest fire. This burned-down tree trunk was one of the last witnesses to this catastrophe. I have taken this photo just 10 days before this the region was once more stricken by devastating fire in February 2010. This monument most probably disappeared.

Hi Miro,
Very nice photo with the tree trunk against the blurred. background. The lighting was strong but works very well here. Personally I would have positioned the tree trunk a little more to the left. TFS and have a nice evening!
Cheers,
Ulf

Ciao Miro,
una bellissima immagine che forse mette un po' di tristezza nell'apprendere che anche questo tronco forse non esiste pił dopo l'ultimo incendio.
Perfetta esposizione e messa a fuoco del tronco bruciato e giusta sfocatura dello sfondo.
Buon giovedi
Mario

The main subject, the burned tree trunk and the closer surrounding's got the best attention in here, Miro.
Yet, the sight beyond, has good colors texture, but I'd like to add a bit of advise: take a higher f number in cases like we see here - for better depth, this would compansate for the blured outcome.
Sincerely,
Ike

Hi Miro !!
I like the photo just the way it is......... the trunk is the subject matter.... the rest is decorative only.
do not worry about the bush fires..... every thing grows back, bigger & better... it is natures way !!!!!
Have a nice week end. Cheers from Australia
Gus.
