Photographer’s Note
Driving down the Great Ocean Road, we avoided this storm which hammered Geelong about an hour later. Hand-held in the wind near Torquay.
No adjustments made in Photoshop (other than border).
Not sure why my colours never look the same on here as when I view them in CS2... any ideas??

This is another great Australian beach and under this light it looks simply fantastic. The colours are absolutely gorgeous and the composition is superb. Well done.

Hi Robbin,
Nice. I think the colours are pretty natural.
Well, if you don't shoot in RAW, but in JPEG, there will already be some kind of correction on your camera. Then you have photoshop with its specific colour profile that perhaps is different from your camera's profile. Then you have a screen that is not calibrated. And last you need to compress to 200 Kb for posting, which makes you loose data as well. And last, when compressing in Photoshop, the image does not change. But it is changed if you later on open it in Irfanview or another viewer... Does this explanation help?? :-)
If you want to be 100% sure, you should shoot RAW, have a calibrated computer and screen, and even then you will loose colour when compressing...

Hi Robbin, very nice shot from this famous road. I drove down there last year and loved it. I like the stormy atmosphere you've been able to capture here, the colour is not bad (even with your complaining) and the detail is tack sharp. Very nicely composed with the capture of that curved beach.
You didn't make any adjustments in PS, so basically what we're looking at is your camera processed shot? With respect to your colour put your image up on CS2 and then in your menu go to >view>proof colors and select it. Notice a difference? What you are seeing when you do that is what you will see on the web. It is a simulation. When I process a shot for TE I select that, then adjust my saturation layer levels to what I expected to see. Give it a try.
Thanks, John

hi Robbin. Beautiful colours and light. The golden curve of sand looks great against the darkening sky. Lovely details in the foreground. regards. Klaudio.

Hey Robbin,
An excellent shot of this scenic beach. I like the contrast between the threatening sky and the vegetation. The POV works very well for this shot. Excellent composition. Congratulations!!!
Greetings,
Natasha
