Hiking around Cradle Mountain in Tasmania, we heard a rustle in the bush. Imagine our surprise when we came face to face with a wombat!

Hi Mark,
Oh yes I can imagine !!! I was like a kid for Christmas when I first saw one, on the Overland Track (I suppose that's where you were as well ?).
For the photo itself, it's a bit overexposed and the flash is not very welcome... But I can easily imagine you took the photo immediatly and not let time to the wombat to go before shooting !!!
