Photographer’s Note

Freycinet National Park consists of knuckles of granite mountains all but surrounded by azure bays and white sand beaches. Freycinet is effectively two eroded blocks of granite - the Hazards and the Mt Graham/Mt Freycinet sections of the peninsula - joined by a sand isthmus.

Here is a small section of granite, on the walk to Wineglass bay.

Hey Steve - it's always hard to expose these bushland scenes i find - but youve done a great job here. The blueness in the sky is really nice too. Good shot of the granite rocks!

Hi Steve.
Great sharpness of the details in this one. You captured the shadows of the cracks really well and the delicate foliage and small area of blue sky really make a great setting for this rock face. I haven't been to Freycinet, but some friends just got back from there and raved about it, so maybe later in the year I'd like to make a trip.

Hello Steve,
There is tremendous clarity in details of this rockface. The soft framing with the vegetation and blue sky is very effective and interesting.
