Photographer's Note
On the return fight from Melaleuca in the Souht West corner of Tasmania we passed close by Tasmania's most spectacular peak - Federation Peak. I was in the seat beside the pilot of a single engine Cessna and photography was tricky taking shots out the side and trying to avoid the wings and struts.
So I didn't get a photo of the iconic peak but I did get a photo of this glacial lake, surrounded by rugged ridges, nearby. I thought that Federation Peak was just above but I can't find this pair of lakes on any map. Can anyone help with a name? Probably not many TE members have been in this isolated corner of the world.
Thanks to Vince (vjmite) for identifying the larger lake - Lake Leo.

Bonjour Ian
Une belle vue plongeante sur ce petit lac tranquille logé au milieu des massifs montagneux.
Merci pour le partage et bonne journée.

Hi Ian,
Great shot. Mycket bra bild. Love the blue of the lakes and the striations of rock from bottom right towards top left.
Haven't been there so don't know the names of lakes.
Regards,
Trevor

Hi Ian
A spectacular aerial view of the diagonally tilyted rock strata of the peaks with the centrally placed blue lake well positioned in the frame. Punchy light contrasts and a good exposure on the highlights. Tfs!

Hi Ian, remarkable shot of this little seen area. gives a real sense of how rugged it is, with the rock protruding from the green patches. You must have had an exciting flight down there. Cheers, Steve

Hi Ian,
A great photo of the lovely blue lake in a rugged mountain setting. Well composed and exposed. After looking at Google earth and Bing Maps, I worked out that it is Lake Leo. I don't know the name of the small lake at the bottom.
