Photographer's Note

Another post from my morning walk around Dove Lake, at Cradle Mountain, Tasmania. It is a series of pictures I keep returning to because I loved the amazing fog and scenery that morning so much. It remains my favorite shoot.

This is one of a few pictures that turned out precisely as I saw it, and precisely how I wanted it. As I did my walk, this one looming tree was perfectly silhouetted against the amazing white fog, and I knew at once that I wanted to capture it. I took several shots and fooled around with the white balance, to try and avoid over-exposure; it turned out the default automatic setting yielded the best shot. Thanks for looking, and if you like this, please feel free to check out my other Cradle Mountain/Dove Lake shots. Also, you may like the work of another photographer, "PeskyPolecat" (http://www.trekearth.com/members/PeskyPolecat/), who does amazing fog-related scenic shots that I really do love.

Thanks!
