Photographer's Note
ENGLISH: This is The Gardens, part of Tasmania's spectacular Bay of Fires. Anyone deciding to travel to Australia should not miss this remote and unspoilt part of our country. The weather is also, comparatively, very mild, compared to the Australian Outback. The Bay of Fires are situated on the east coast of Tasmania, about 2 hours drive from Launceston. This photo was taken just after dawn, and just after my previous photo: Getting Some Religion
This was a morning I will never forget, and of all the beautiful, unspoiled places I've visited, ranks at the top of the list. If you want to see more of Tasmania, please see my Theme: My Trip To Tasmania

Ciao Lisa,
great the name of the Bay with the 'golden' afternoon light to fall on the rocks making the image even more attractive and eye catching.
I imagine that the name of 'Bay of fire' came from this spectaacular light fallen during the sunset of the sunshine of the days.
Regards,danos

Hello Lisa - Thanks for the travel tip, I have not be to Australia, it seems too far away, but I do know that I would love the scenery, much of which looks like Namibia! We don't have these rocky coastlines though. This one is lovely with the warm morning sun underlining the name of the location. Fire indeed. I like the textural detail the oblique light has revealed in the FG rocks, difficult to manage the contrast in situations like these but this looks good and contrasts well with the silkier looking sea. The gorgeous colours are a treat to be enjoyed by the early bird. Lovely coastal shot. Warm regards and have a wonderful relaxing weekend. Rosemary

Cara Lisa,
Valter

Hi Lisa
Another well seen and faithfully recorded seascape.
'Tis strange, but I have enjoyed so many of your pictures, and not even noticed they were from Tas. Your link to your theme has just whiled away another 20 mins, looking and relooking at some glorious views, many of which I had critiqued..
Which is not to distract from this fine post. Even with such low lying ground your viewpoint gives an illusion of great depth, and of course the colours, glorious ! ( don't even mention the sunshine .... )
greetings from the crew,
CCL

Hi Lisa,
Contrast green/blue water with the golden rocks is fabulous. That made this picture so beautiful. As always, other details are immaculate.
Space over the image used in ballance, and the place is overwhelming nature's at the far end of the world.
Impressive.

Ciao Lisa,
I like very much the composition but the star of the show for me is the beautiful warm morning light that brings out the tones and textures in the rocks to perfection. And all in superb detail.

Ciao Lisa
The setting sun is very strong on the rocs. As you say in your title they seem very hot. I like the very low point of view and the texture of the water.
Have a nice day

Ciao cara Lisa,
Yes, I recognise this place from the previous picture from here (to which you've added a link). And I can fully understand why you felt so good on this lovely morning - yes, of course, it was the magical light that surrounded you - I can just imagine you with camera and tripod and filters jumping around with glee from one rock to the next like a kid in a sweetie shop trying to catch that magic!
And you've certainly caught a mighty slice of the magic here. The warm, low angle light is truly wonderful, illuminating the rocks obliquely and bringing out all their lovely textures. A fine early morning sky too but the real jewel in the crown must be the deep blue/green water, so clear in the foreground that we can see the swirling seaweed there - and so glassy in the distance.
Excellent composition too with that foreground solitary rock "anchoring" the composition together and with the long curve of the bay leading the eye to the horizon. Gorgeous warm colours, perfect exposure and exquisite detail and sharpness.
Beautiful!
Kind Regards,
John.

Another stunning photograph! Really love the colors present in here, the warm tones and the blues, definitely a great combination! I guess the low POV worked out pretty well in this frame. Hi Lisa
Impressive seascape at golden hour and such tranquil scene enhanced by the warm light hitting those rocks - the real magnet of the show taken at the right time and this make them standout strikingly against the surroundings particularly to the turquoise green water. Compositionally well balanced, a well worked viewpoint, detailed and adequately exposed. It's so delicately managed image. Well done
Warm regards

Hello Lisa,
You were up early again taking advantage of that glorious light. The well chosen exposure worked very well with a lovely balance of silky water and textural detail on the rocks. I had not though about Tasmania as a destination but it sounds wonderful, and indeed looks fabulous from your excellent picture.
Best wishes, Ann

Hello Lisa,
Thanks very much for all your comments. To answer your question, Zug is germanic origin, translated to English, Zug = pull up (pull up the fishing net from the lake).
You are presenting marvelous photo. Excellent early morning mood with great golden light. Perfect light & color contrast between blue-green sea water and beautiful golden rocks.
Thanks for your note. I'll put this place in my traveling schedule during my next trip to Australia.

Ciao Lisa,
another masterpiece from this spectacular place. Colors are amazing with the warm sunlight enhancing them even more. I like the greenish color of the water and reddish rocks. Very well thought through foreground as usually of course. Your reportage is very encouraging to visit Tasmania but I guess not many people from Europe can afford it either financially of not having time. If I only win a lottery I have to get there for sure!
Thank you for sharing.
Have a great weekend,

Ciao cara Lisa,
Complimenti e grazie!
Tanti saluti e buona giornata,
Ourania
