[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is my first post from Australia - the country I have called home for almost 20years.

I think this photo typifies Australia - the ghost gum tree, the red earth and the big blue sky. This photo was taken on a hill on a cattle property in north-west Queensland which comprises more than 200,000 acres. The hill is known locally as Railway Hill as from a distance the red rocks shown appear in a line and seem to ressemble railway carriages.

When we climbed this hill in October 2007 we were the first humans to walk up here in the last 60 years and possibly ever.

Typically Australia! Finally a photo from your home country... or so you call it (I don't quite know what is it for you). I guess this was taken in the early hour of the day, cos it has remarkable shadows. Good job!!!

Regards,
Slavko

Hi Marlene,
this composition is full of atmosphere, the tree and the rocks are creating fascinating contrasts. And there is a magical mood due to your POV and the light. TfS!
Warm regards
Harriet
