In a sidestreet sometimes you will find the most interesting things is a saying a Dutch organistion introduced a few years ago.
This is one of the sidestreets of a larger road in a Brisbane residential area. I had been looking for Queenslander type of houses and was walking back to the centre when I passed this sidestreet. There is no car-traffic possible to the street I was walking on which means it is a relatively quiet and calm street in a subtropical setting.

I really like this scene, in a little corner of my city. I think this is in the inner city suburb of Spring Hill. I like the classic blue skies and the depth created by the road which halves the scene. I also enjoy the colour combinations created by the tropical foliage. Very calm and welcoming atmosphere!

Interesting that you should post a side street from the city I have lived in for the last 20 years. This is not a scene I would ever think of photographing because I would consider it too mundane. But as a visitor you have a different viewpoint and you have produced a nice image. The narrow street centrally positioned works well. We also think this is a street in Spring Hill. Tfs, Marlene

As a resident of Brisbane, this is familiar to me, and is Spring Hill. The atmosphere in parts of Spring Hill reminds me of a village, like inthis shot. Very pretty little photo.
