Photographer’s Note

This depicts the facades of 2 large nightclubs in Fortitude Valley Brisbane. The new one was completed in early 2009 and the old one dates from 1889.
The Valley is the main nightspot in Brisbane with dozens of nightclubs featuring electronica and DJ's and many live music Venues for the latest live Indie music.
The 2 facades, despite the different styles, seem to blend with the choice of colours and the new one lights up with the circles on it at night - creating a stunning effect at night.

Hi Justin,
I like how the classic lines of the building get in harmony with the arabesques of the wrought iron sculpture. It gives the picture lots of motion and depth, and the shadows on the wall add some extra dimension, too. The vegetal element enhance the composition and give it a slight softening effect. You did a nice tight crop of this image.
