Fraser Island

After walking the long beach shown on my last posting we arrived at Middle Rock, one of the only three volcanic outcrops in Fraser Island, just to be persuaded by a magnificent set of natural pools called Champagne Pools. Let me tell you, nobody can resist such temptation!

These stunning pools provide a very popular swimming hole at low tide with the ocean crashing over the rocks into shallow sandy pools. The foaming water is where the name Champagne Pools comes from. Due to extremely strong currents along this part of the island swimming around the rocks is dangerous and not encouraged at all.

Hi Antonio, this is another area I would love to visit, but somehow I don't think we'll have the time. This is a beautiful spot, looks like an awesome place to go for a swim (in the pools that is). How's the weather up there now?

Mostra-nos aqui uma imagem com bom impacto visual pelas belas cores que apresenta. As piscinas são realmente tentadoras. As silhuetas diminutas das pessoas passam a impressão da imensidão do mar - tal como quando estou numa praia, a visão do oceano não deixa dúvidas sobre a nossa pequenez.

That's a very instructive note and a nice place to discover. I bet you too swam in those champagne pools ;o)
Though i like the beautiful scenery and the blue shades, i am quite disturbed by the high grain (maybe you pushed sharpening mask too high).

You have wonderful deep blues here, Antonio and nice ,rich textures. The beach is nicely caught in the arc of the sea and the people add scale and interest. It is nice view of a Fraser Island beach. regards kevin

i almost did not notice the people on the scene, luckily the rules of the third that you apply works well here. great sea and dramatic sky is your real strength here. Your composition is excellent and great sharpness.

Antonio, this is an interesting shot, the scene is obviously beautiful but the coloring is almost a cold color set. Despite the people in shorts it looks like a winter beach scene. Well seen and presented as usual and it is great to see these views of Oz that we would not otherwise see.

Você compôs muito bem, Antônio. O galho em primeiro plano destacado sobre a areia e o verdadeiro espetáculo de azuis ao fundo, que quase nos faz usar óculos escuros! Uma beleza! Aqueles sortudos nas pequenas piscinas também fazem bom detalhe.

Nice view of the coastal scene and high contrast in color, perhaps a little bluish green. Really a great place to relax and visit. I am not sure if the strong color saturation is due to pp work.

Que cores! Aquelas piscinas ainda me parecem mais fantásticas que as de Porto Moniz, na Madeira, por terem areia. Aquilo deve ser o máximo para a miudagem (dos 7 aos 77 anos, como o Tintim :-).
Gosto muito do enquadramento, muito bem arranjado, com as pessoas mais uma vez 'bem arrumadas' ao canto.

Bonjours, comme je vais sans doute être absent pour un certains temps, je vais visionner beaucoup de photos et celle que je trouverais jolies, je mettrais un commentaire copié collé et ma femme essaiera de mettre les points pendant mon départ de la maison.
J' espère que cela vous fera quand même plaisir car moi pendant mon opération et mon temps a l' hôpital, vos photo vont me manquer.

In this photo, the mixture of the blue tones in the sea and their contrast against the rocky golden sand is impressive. Inclusion of a few people at the foreground added life to your photo. Well done !

Excellent composition here with great colours. I like the FG greens set against the blue sea and sky. I notice a couple of people in the pool where it appears to be pretty safe to swim.

Olá António, não há dúvida que têm um aspecto fenomenal e se eu fosse lá experimentava de certeza. Engraçado que a cor do Champagne está lá, de facto. Está bonita a tua foto com a composição em camadas a começar com o topo da escarpa. A luz não devia estar muito favorável, mas as cores ficaram boas e eu gosto dos contrastes fortes. Nem sequer está muita gente...
