The Meaning of Life is... Photo

Photographer’s Note

Taken on Fraser Island, off the East Coast of Australia.

The norm is to go for a three or four day tour of an island in a 4WD. The Island boasts spectacular scenery and there are several great photo opportunities.

Yet this is one of my favourite photos. Had just settled in for the night and had set up camp. Now the lull in between dinner and having some beers around the campfire. The ocean is rough and wild as always (you can't swim in the ocean because of sharks and the strength of the waves).

Just a conversation between two best friends.

Nice bokeh (that's what we say when the photo is out of focus, but we like it :-).

It does have a certain spirit to it - and that's worth more than technical perfection sometimes. I suppose I understand why you say this is one of your favourite photos.
