Photographer’s Note
Fraser Island is one of my favourite places in Australia, and it has the most beautiful landscapes. In this photo I just love the undulating shapes the sand has made and the 'wrinkles' that have been created by the wind. The sand is untouched like freshly fallen snow.

Very nice photo, James. The lack of a "subject" adds to the impact of the image and the monstrosity of the dune. Watch your cropping after you scan, and make sure you paint or clone out all dust and scratches before posting if possible. Welcome to TrekEarth!

Welcome to TE James. This is a fine compo for your first posting, the simplicity of it emphasising the drama of the subject. You could be a bit more careful about presentation though. Is this a scanned 6X4? You can see the edges especially bottom and left, best to have cropped those, and the definition seems to deteriorate a little to towards the top right, as though it wasn't quite evenly placed for scanning. Anyway, very nice first shot.

Good picture James! This looks like a scene from Star Wars - The Empire Strikes Back. :) Is the color of the sky real or did you alter it?
