Photographer’s Note
The Q1 Tower (meaning Queensland Number 1) is located in Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast, Australia. This 80 story tower was completed in November 2005 and at 322.5 meters is the world's tallest residential tower when measured to the top of its spire. It has a large observation deck on levels 77 and 78 with spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and coastline. Its form was inspired by the Sydney 2000 Olympic Torch and the Sydney Opera House. It is a landmark building for Queensland and a must for anyone visiting the Gold Coast.

A dramatic sky for this Q1 building! A clear shot in a good vertical framing.
DAve.

Hi Lyndall,
this is superb with the multiple colours in the sky and great POV on this massive structure. I like this view and the side view of the building. I also like that the structure is darker to contrast with the sky.
I have posted a pic of Q1 on my profile as well from the other side, and it is so photogenic! I think oyur effort is much more onteresting than what i posted.
Regards
Justin
