Beach life of Surfers Paradise seen from SkyPoint observation deck of Q1 tower. Tinted windows made finding the right colour balance hard to find. I needed to increase red quite a lot from the original.
(Title On the Beach, a Chris Rea song from the album with the same name, 1986.)

Very good idea of shooting the water's edge on a diagonal to split the image into two areas, and each area with something different to discover and explore. It works well from your high viewpoint and with the contrasting colours of the sand and sea. The water line running along the beach really makes it interesting. The people look like ants, except they are enjoying the beach. Very pleasing colours and an excellent bird's eye view. Well done.

Hello Kari ,
An amazing plunging view on the beach . It seems that you were very high above it . Effective diagonal and superb contrast between the golden sand and the green water .

Stunning POV, like a bird view ! The diagonal and all the silhouettes having fun in the beach make your picture very attractive. Love it.

bello scatto, una diagonale ben fatta, dove spiaggia e mare si incontrano sottolineati dalle onde bianche.
Il pov č molto interessante e permette di vedere tutto l'insieme come se stessimo volando sulle persone.

nice the panoramic view of the area from the SkyPoint observation with the swimmers to add scale in the scene.I like the well chosen POV with white waves to create a charmy optical effect.Well done.

a nice picture from "Down under", especially when I see ice and snow outside my window:)
I like your viewpoint, most beach shots are from the ground. It was also a good idea to use the waterline/sand as a diagonal line in your composition.
Not many surfers here but the waves are probably not good enough.Tfs!
Have a nice evening/

Brilliant bird view of the beach and the ocean water. Nice to see the beach covered with colourful towels and the "small" people. I like the green-white water color.

A good high POV has resulted in this almost abstract shot. I like how the image is split on the diagonal and the green of the water and golden sand contrast so nicely. The inclusion of all the people provide an excellent sense of scale and height, aswell as adding another dimension to the composition, that of graphsim. Well done.
Thanks for sharing, hope the jetlag's gone

I like your pov of this beautiful beach! I just hope there's sharks in those waters. Good lighting and nice details. Well done, tfs.

actually, i'd never have known you took this through glass if you didn't mention it.
the diagonal water line is nice too, and the overall lookout point really does create a sweet looking photo.
no sharks? :)

fine view of the beach from above. Haha, funny tiny figures of the people swimming and taking sun. I was no some beaches in Australia, but I swimmed only once - all they were deadly dangerous because of sharks, currents, crocodiles and sea wasps. Nice diagonal composition.
Haha, next week I will be in Finland, new yellow colour on the map :)). I hope to see such view as on your photos from helsinki, with a lot of snow.
Warm regrads Malgo

Wow! Amazing view! they look like the ants. Did you take this photo from some building? Attractive diagonal composition, very nice colors of the paradise. I wanna be there too! Yeahh! ;))
Good tribute to Chris Rea! TFS!

I love the birds-eye view of this diagonal beach composition. The green water is spectacular and the people are so small that they look like ants. The beach towels add extra splashes of colour on the sandy beach.
Kind Regards, Ann

A classic, but well executed.

You have captured well the action at the beach and the ocean. The presenc eof the people is adding life to the scene. This is a pleasant warn=m scenery to look at compared to the snow storm my city received today. The colours are warming up the scene. Have a nice day.
