Photographer’s Note

This was the way some Australians choose to spend Easter Sunday. The place is a quite well known site in the Sunshine Coast for kite surfing. Sometimes they are so many that it is amazing to see how they do manage to spend hours without crashing into each other.

Brings back memories of high school science & biology excursions, to the rockpools near King's Beach. Wonderful colour & sharpness. Good repetition of the kites, with a marvellous blue sky! Have a great weekend!

A really nice holidays picture. More than this! I like a lot colours and lights, and the composition specially. Not easy with all this people and kit surfs. You have well placed this wings in the uppon third.

Hello Antonio,

Noosa River, Maroochy River and Caloundra seem to be the key places on the Sunshine Coast to kitesurf. As I said before, I saw about 20 or more gliding over the Maroochy Mouth over Easter. They are mesmerizing to watch. There was one dog on the beach who chased the kites and their shadows continually before collapsing from exhaustion. Caloundra is a very attractive city, and I believe you have captured the essence of it well in this lively and colourful holiday photo. I took many photos of them but I could not achieve a balanced shot. You have done well.

i ve realised that i havent been to the seaside for a long time although it is 500 meters away from my house... beautiful shot with the kites in the bright blue sky... colourful... cheerfull... i like it a lot...

Caloundra? Que nome meio esquisito para um país de língua inglesa. Deve ser de origem aborígene.

Bonjour,
Belle photo de ce nouveau genre de cerf volant qui font furreur a cet endroit et vous les avez bien captés et cette partie d' ombre et de lumière est très jolis comme effet.
Ces CVI sont superbes et bien étendus sur la longueur de votre photo.(CVI= cerf volant identifier, mais vous aviez compris)

You would think that at the very least the ropes would get tangled. Good wide angle shot. With only a small portion of land/sea you still manage to show so much there, although the attractive sky decorated with colourful kites steals the show. Well done

A very nice image. What a great way to spend Easter Sunday - at the beach enjoy the warmth and the breeze. I like the composition with the bright colors of the kites against the blue and white of the sky. My only comment is that image looks a bit soft and I suspect that it was the rather slow shutter speed. Anyway, like I said a great way to enjoy a Sunday and nice image. Well done.

Na Costa da Caparica (Fonte da Telha) reparei no crescimento deste desporto - a velocidade deles é impressionante assim como o tempo que estão naquilo, como dizes. Se calhar não é preciso usar tanta força de braços como parece. Gostava de experimentar. Está muito bonito aquele efeito de luz na areia - parece uma ilha isolada no meio do mar onde se vai só para fazer o kite surfing. Mas claro que o conjunto de papagaios coloridos espalhados no céu é o que faz a imagem.

Like the colours of the kites and the contrast they create against the blue sky. You would have taken this shot from quite a distance, seeing the size of the people. Like the clouds in the horizon as well, they add to the beauty of this picture. Good work!

Antonio, this is a shot with tons of action and movement not to mention fabulous colors and detail. Not knowing the lay of the land it is shot from an improbable angle or height and that makes it just great. Super capture.

Boa escolha por baixares a linha do horizonte nesta foto para dares destaque ao que realmente era importante nestea foto, ou sejam, o céu magnifico e o colorido dos equipamentos de kite surf.
