Photographer’s Note
I took this underwater photo during a trip to the Great Barrier Reef – staying on a Live-a-Board for a week. This was a giant barracuda that was hanging out under our boat when I came up from a dive. Apparently is it fairly common for him to show up at this particular dive site, so he was given a name - Brutus. It seems to fit - he's very big & menacing looking.
We saw lots of barracuda while diving in Australia - sometimes even seeing small schools of them. Brutus was the only extra large one we saw. He was about 5 feet long & most of the others we saw were 2-3 feet long. This photo illustrates how big Brutus is - next to the photographer.

Hello, this is an astonishing picture, and in the same time a tribute to photography; I like all this equipment that you have around you. This guy seems to like it too. Congratulations. Geraldine

hi Margo,
I am wondering why your pictures do not have much points, because I think that they are all very nice, this Barracuda Portrait is really beautiful and also the note is very interesting,

hello Margo,
I know that barracudas are great predators among fish and can be agressive. This photograph is really impressive.
Best regards
