This boardwalk in Centenary Lakes at Cairns goes through a rainforest swamp full of palms and paperbark trees. This area is next to the Cairns Botanic Gardens, and is in its natural state, more or less. It's the sort of place you wouldn't normally go into, being a swamp, but it's an interesting environment, and there are signs explaining various features of the forest. The thick foliage makes it quite dark here, so a long exposure is necessary.

Great colour and even lighting for a rainforest photo. A good scene - maybe just a touch over sharpened.

Very sharp colours, good pov stability of the whole frame.

Excellent exposition here, I know that the light can often be uneven in places like this, so you;ve done really well. I like the tight framing, croping out any hint of sky and the deep greens are saturated and contrasted beautifully.
