One night I noticed an unusually high amount of fog outside my house at 2:00am. So, I armed myself with a tripod and a camera and went for a drive around the streets and into the city. When I drove over the William Jolly Bridge which leads to South Bank (for anyone familiar with Brisbane) I pulled over and got to work taking photos of the Art Deco style bridge covered in fog. The streets were quiet and virtually empty. The fog was all around me, diffusing the street lights and providing much atmosphere.

Hi David,
Your drive was well worth the effort, this shot looks really interesting. The fog certainly diffuses the image but you've kept the detail pin sharp. The donward glow from the street lighting looks amazing. Excellent capture.
Cheers
Peter

Hi Dave,

nice fading out effect. Shapes are sharp at the beginning...then they slowly fade away

well done
Silvio

Hello Dave
Nearly missed this one, the fog really makes this capture interesting against the more sharper foreground - The row of lights have a beautiful soft glow. The perspective is well chosen with the road off centered. The colours are well balanced here also. Very good capture.

Jim

Wow ! Excellent technical realisation to have a soft light and the far mist, and then, a strong mysterious mood... Depth enhances the mystery. Very well done.

Hi David, We have had a bit of fog in Melb too recently. My response though, at 2am, is to pull the doona up a bit, rather than going out. Your enthusiasm was well rewarded though with this interesting composition. Wide format works very well. Cheers, Steve

Hello David
You woke up at 2 in the night & went out with your camera! Not bad, and thanks to your efforts this is a very nice image. Like the pano format which suits this fine & of course the mist which creates the mood. The sharp FG of the bridge gradually merges with the mist as we move down. Well seen & taken shot!

Angshu
