Photographer’s Note
Last weekend as I walked along the walkways besides the Brisbane River I noticed these bizarre reflections - and thought how appropriate. The Kurilpa Bridge which is currently under construction is reflecting on the red windows of GoMA (Gallery of Modern Art).
The Kurilpa Bridge is a $63.3million pedestrian and bicycle bridge linking the city centre of Brisbane at Tank Street with South Brisbane at Kurilpa Point. It is expected to open in September of this year.
GoMA, the Gallery of Modern Art opened in December 2006 - it complements the Queensland Art Gallery building and is situated adjacent to it on Kurilpa Point. GoMA focuses on the art of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.
In workshops I am including photos of Kurilpa Bridge and GoMA so as to complete the scene.

Hello Marlene,
Certainly the GOMA would be a suitable place to find a piece of art like this, completely unintended. Why don't you make a huge copy of this picture and sell it to the gallery? Or donate it and get a plaque with your name on it. Surely these colours and shapes would benefit the museum.
A very good observation.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Marlene,
This is just like a graphical print, something like Andy Warhol, the colours remind me of Marilyn Monroe... An excellent picture!!!
Kind regards

hi Marlene
I was wondering at the thumbnail what this could be from your travel :) partly due to the branches of tree, I expect to see landscape, and it turns out to be new bridge. Interesting reflection and made more abstract because of the white lines of the GOMA. The red color of the bridge and crane is most interesting in this reflected view.

Good morning, Marlene.
Unusual colour combination but very effective. Intriguing juxtaposition of straight and jagged lines. Well seen.
Best wishes,
Winifred

A creative shot with nice colours, patterns and lines throughout it. A different take on the bridge through the reflection!

Hello Marlene,
VERY interesting observation - I like this photo; the view is almost surrealistic :) Fantastic (although I don't quite like this word) combination of colours - excelently captured reflection!
The Workshop photos are a very good addition, so we can have a full notion of this place :)
Warmest greetings from Moscow,
Elena

Hi Marlene,
it`s hard to describe this photo, modern art or a closeup of a dessert :-) Anyway, interesting reflections with elements of the diagonals, the green tree branches are a nice complement to the artwork. And best of all, it`s purple-my favourite colour! Very well seen !
Have a nice week!

Hi Marlene!
Wow! A very original and stunningly clear photo! This is one that my eye would have missed, but I can see how it adds up to a fabulous photo! The workshops you included really help to see how all this came together, and is revealing that the actual scene itself is kind of ordinary...but your eye really caught this one! Nice work, Cheers,
Steve

yes, it is a nice view, almost abstract here. I liked the lines, colors and the constrast between the branch of that flamboyant tree and the façade. beautiful work
