The woman casually sitting on the stairs of the Opera house actually is a photographer. A few moments after this shot she grabbed her camera from her bag and focussed to her left. I don't know what she tried to shoot.
The Sydney Opera House is well known here on TE so no long note on who build it etc.
Why bother posting it if there are so many photo's of it? Because I like the simplicity of the shot and the colors. I had to remove some distortion in PP though. Otherwise I played a little with the contrast, highlights and shadows in Photoshop Elements 5.0

Their is surely a reason why so many photos are taken of the opera house-it's because it's stunning!.
Your excellent photo does the building great justice, using good perspective & the figure on the stairs gives a sense of scale.

I adore the Sydney Opera House, and this rather abstract shot is a favourite viewpoint for me. It is goood that you have included some of the many hundreds of steps, to help frame the bottom of the picture. I like the slight colour gradient in the sky, perfect weather, without clouds. Stunning sharpness, attention to details is very good indeed. The inclusion of the lady was a good idea, in relation to scale, I was surprised to see how large the Oprea House actually was on my first trip to Sydney; you show this well in your photot.

Good and very geometrical shot! I like this pov and that woman there was a great idea. She gives us the notion of the dimension.

Even though we have seen this building photographed so many times, this is still a great shot. I like the clarity and the reflections. Your composition is nice in that you have not included the whole building from further away like we normally see, and the domes going in a diagonal line are great. The lady on the steps gives a good sense of scale too, and you had a nice angle.

Never seen such a cropping and close-up about this famous building. That's the first interest of the shot.
The second is the way you composed that : abstract, design, modern...

Prima werk!

I like your pictures because of the symmetry and the composition with excellent graphical elements and the inclusion of the woman's figure.
