This is the Orphan Rock, seen from the Skyway at Katoomba in the Blue Mountains. In the background is the Jamieson Valley with Narrowneck on the right skkyline.
Orphan Rock is a pillar of rock separated from the main cliff by erosion, close to the Scenic Railway. It used to have a track and a series of ladders leading up to the top, where there were several lookouts. They are still there, but presumably in disrepair because the track to Orphan Rock has been closed for decades. It was deemed unsafe. That didn't stop some people (including me) from going up to the top of the rock, although I haven't been there since 1987. There is a large hole in the rock that is best seen from the walking track at the base of the Three Sisters.

A great view Vince, good POV and great colour but maybe a touch over sharpened.

A beautiful shot of the iconic Blue Mountains. I really like the composition, sharpness and the colours here. The way you convey the sense of space is superb. It must have been quite an adventure to climb that rock!
