Photographer’s Note

This is Sorrento on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula. It bares no resemblance at all to its Italian namesake, except that both places are beautiful. Sorrento is a surf beach although there a numerous submerged rocks which would make swimming slightly hazardous. I went to Sorrento with Skippy007, Treks and Alftrek, then we ate a pizza and drank vino.

Hello Lisa,
Sounds a good way to spend an evening, take some nice photographs like this one and then have a meal with friends. You have capture the setting sun just right here as the last of the rays fan out over the rocks creating a lovely atmosphere. The composition is well framed and makes good use of he foreground rocks, but most of all I love that beautiful sky. Very well done. Are the pizzas in Australia as good as the ones in Italy?

Geia sou Lisa,
a very nice shot but at the same time a difficult one as the beams of the sun falls directly on your lens.But i like this scene with the rocks to looks so grade,as their texture too.Well done.

bisogna avere fantasia per un titolo come questo: "Torna Surriento Aus Style" Eheheheheh!
Sembra un bel posto davvero.
Mi piace il sole basso che sembra appoggiare i suoi raggi sulla roccia.
Il cielo, benchè molto nuvoloso, crea un forte contrasto cromatico con la roccia.

Dobra kompozicija, dobre boje i trenutak snimka.

Beautiful sky that's for sure.
Good composition too, nicely balanced frame.
Now it's about that little sun flare on the rocks, hmmmm.
We're off up the coast for a couple of days visiting Charms rello's, back Saturday.

Hi Lisa,
This is a difficult shot and I can see that the ND filter is doing a good job to give you a better exposed FG without blowing out the sky. The golden sun rays beaming just over the rock are fantastic.

A very difficult light condition but the result is quite good. It's really a miracle how the foreground rock didn't came out underexposed. Here I think the atmosphere is important: the magic and yet dramatic moment when the day dies.

Ciao Lisa, The weather was not ideal for photography but the sun did manage to come out very late in the afternoon. Nice warm colours in the sky with the sun rays a nice touch. If it wasn't for the long drive home another couple of reds would have gone down very nicely, I suppose by then the slightest thing would have made us laugh. Thanks
