Photographer’s Note
This is the second of a small series of photos taken during a hot air balloon trip last year. Because of atmospheric conditions in Australia balloon rides here are done at dawn because the air is most stable.
I took this photo not long after take off using a high ISO as we floated above layers of fog. Just one ridge showed above the fog as the light started to come into the sky.
The photo did have a fair bit of noise so I ran it through a noise filter to ease it back a bit and only sharpened it a little.

Hello Ian,
A balloon trip should be a real delight.
Also in your country the vastness of the landscape is superb.
Excellent atmosphere and great perspective, although much fog obscures the view.
Best wishes,
Charo
