Photographer's Note

This is another from the sunrise shoot with Lisa (delpeoples) at Terrigal. This is a completely misleading shot but my favourite from the morning. The cloud formations were amazing and we were there to shoot dawn however I felt hampered by an enormous incoming tide which would change 4 or 5 metres with each wave ( I will attempt to post a couple of shots to workshop to demonstrate this) which meant that it was not possible to get down low for foreground interest. I also found it difficult to shoot directly into the sun this particular morning...however.... in a workshop with a great Aussie photographer recently he commented that sometimes on a shoot it pays to turn around and look behind you because it just may be the "money" shot is not where you expect it to be. I think in this case he was spot on. I love the soft fluffy clouds and rich colours in the rock which is eating patiently to be warmed by the upcoming sun,
