Photographer’s Note
If anyone doubts the size of the QM2 this may make you think again. The challenge is to get all the ship in one frame. Thousands came out to see this largest liner in the world today.
Workshop shows zoom of flags and aerials.

This is even a better shot, now you are on dry land, think your previous was from small boat.

Murray,
This is a nice angle for this shot including the full length of the ship. The cars and people give us some perspective of the size of the ship. Your lighting and colors are great with nice sharpness.

Good shot Murray, it really does emphasise the massive scale of this vessel. The viewpoint works well as you've got an angled view looking down along the ship.

No doubt about the size of the ship, but your photo is a bit funny. The lamppost seems taller than the QM2. (Of course, I know this is just a trick of the perspective.) Thanks for the pic!

I'll say that QM 2 looks like a marvel, even if its black color makes her look little grim. Great photo! You once wanted to get a photo of largest in Scandinavia ferry "Serenade", I did it, even if my variant is very bad one. http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Europe/Finland/photo553773.htm

Hello Murray,
Very good point of view, I like how you contrast the ship with the busy traffic!
Well framed scenery, and the majestic ship is for sure impressive!

Awesome. I wish I had seen it myself. Nice use of land ased features to help give size scale! Looks like it has enough life boats too unlike a certain smaller ship from 90 years sgo. A nice clean useage of horizontal lines of the ship being bisected by the vertical posts. I would guess she'd be somewhere along the Queensland coast by now, on her way up to Hong-Kong.

Hi Murray, while I think I like your other shot better, this gives a good perspective on the ship as well with the cars and people. Your light on this one is excellent. You couldn't get much closer or you wouldn't have fit it into your viewfinder. Very nice.
Thanks, John

I came lookin' for the QE2! I heard on the news here that the QM2 & the QE2 had a re-union in Sydney...
This monster here had to be docked at a naval yard, as she can't go under the bridge... She is one big mother!
Her size very evident in this shot! Given it's bleepin' summer in OZ, and the light has got to be harsh this is pretty nice work! You even have a bit of koala-fur in the upper right! Thanx for sharing Murray! Jay
PS Good use of the WS to show the detail of flags and that...!

It's so kind of you that you give us the chance to see Queen Mary 2 in comparison with other object. Your pov is very good because it lets us see the whole of the ship.

Hi Murray,
Your frame is giving more idea about its size because visitors are helping to us imagine your wonderful view. Poles, crowded street are adding good depth together with its huge side view. Congratulations.
Friendly Regards,

Hi Murray,
QM2 certainly looks massive in this composition. Good that you included cars and people in your framing for they provide dynamism. Tech details especially sharpness are quite good. Greetings! Danilo
