This is a close up view of the Sydney Opera House. The roof structure of the building is commonly referred to as "shells".

A nice different abstract kind of view of the opera house, I like the way that the bits join onto one another and the patterns on the "shells".

Fantastic composition of planes and textures ... I love ...
It is difficult to show such penetration, like the light as it decomposes on these planes. Interesting ...

Hi Izabela ,
Clear and sharp image with nice play of curves and lines. Balanced proportions of dome and the sky.

I absolutely love the abstraction you've achieved here, and admire the fact that you've taken an iconic and over-photographed building, and made something new and graphic from it. You've inspired me to post a similar image I made when I was last in Sydney (I don't like your image just because it reminds me of one of my own!)

A delicate geometric abstract with sensual curves and great metallic textures. The crisscrossing of the lines, their sudden changes of direction and the balance between light and shade is great. You'vemanaged to reinterpret this iconic structure.
Have a wonderful 2013,

I like the composition of this - it's my kind of abstract - I look for lines and shapes in things too. Sometimes the flattening of space like this creating the positive textured shape of the buidling against the negative space of the flat blue results in a dissectable easily "read" compostion. This is complemented well by the light and dark areas and the contrast of the blue against the grey blue of the building. Excellent shot - well done.
In the spirit of exploring even more possibilities I might have made it even more abstract by cropping tighter and rotating it to make it less recognisable - I did a workshop - hope you don't mind. I know how sometimes when your proud of something you create and someone else plays with it it can infuriate! Apologies in advance.
