Photographer’s Note
This depicts a cricket pitch / football field in Marrickville, Sydney from a young child's perspective - it must seem huge to her! The oval, in inner-western Sydney, was the home ground of the Newtown Jets Rugby League Club in the 1920s and is today used for training by early-morning joggers and amateur sports teams.
