Photographer’s Note
This is taken from the Spit Bridge Marina, near middle harbour part of the extensive Sydney Harbour waterways.
Middle Harbour is the northern arm of Port Jackson in Sydney, Australia.
Middle Harbour extends about 10 kilometers (6 miles) to the northwest, from where it joins the main harbour near the Heads. Its shore are nearly everywhere rugged, barren and forested and for this reason Middle Harbour was almost entirely neglected during the first two centuries of European settlement in Sydney. There are only a few small patches of flat land on its shores. There are many small creeks draining the surrounding hills, but no significant rivers flow into Middle Harbour.
Middle Harbour is a significant physical barrier between Sydney and the suburbs known as the Northern Beaches area which lie north and east of Middle Harbour. There are only two bridges - the Spit Bridge and the Roseville Bridge. Because of this obstacle, historically the main transport between Manly and Sydney was by ferry.
Since the 1920s, most of the land on the ridge-tops around Middle Harbour have been developed for suburban housing. Much of the rugged shore of the Middle Harbour remains covered with bushland, most of it now protected by parks and reserves. Middle Harbour is a popular area for recreational boating and fishing.

Hello Murray,
Pretty vertical point of view on this splendid boat of cruising and houses in background. I like much contrasts as well in the composition as in the image. Pretty and pleasant glance, thank you Murray.

Hi Murray,
The reflections in the water are assets to the composition. The point of view is allowing us to see the details and colors of the boats and of the houses. The masts of the sailboats have a graphical effect. The trees are framing well the houses. The colors are enhanced by the quality of the light. Have a nice day.

Hi Murray,
Big sailing boats, houses overlooking the bay. What a wonderful place that would be to live...
Your vertical framing shows all the essential elements well. Maybe there's a little more shadow that I preferred, optimal time for the shot being just a bit earlier.

hi Murray
Wow! Your vertical frame really goes all the way to top of the mast and it is optically equivalent to 12 storey building high :)
I like this composition and POV. Very nice to see the boat and mast in such prominent position. Even if I find the body of boat to be slightly OE, the overall picture is really impressive for me.

Hi Murray,
A pretty shot of a pretty part of Sydney.
Nicely composed shot, the mooring buoys in the bottom left of frame add that little extra touch. I like the light and shade on the background.

Very nice capture, Murray. The boat got very nice contrast against the ground and you did a good work on the control of whites, since it is strong enough. Well taken!

Hi Murray,
Together with its shimmering reflections in the water, you've captured the sailboat beautifully, especially in setting it all against the dark background. I like the photograph, augmented by the excellent note.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Hello Murray -
Such a nice and pleasant scene. My and wife and I just got back from the coast and viewed scenes such as this. So relaxing and laid back. A spot on image.
Thank you for sharing.
