Photographer’s Note
To follow up on my first Lord Howe Island photo here is another to get you interested in that beautiful and fascinating island. Ball's Pyramid is actually over 20 kilometres away from Lord Howe Island and is the highest sea stack in the world. At 550 metres high it is 1.5 times the height of the empire state building.
It is a majestic sight rising out of the sea with a few little out riders to the right.
To main way to get there is on fishing trips (we caught plenty of big king fish) so it can be a problem bobbing about for anyone who gets the slightest bit seas sick! Being in a fairly small boat I had to adjust the horizon.
Scanned from negative.

Hello Ian,
Very interesting shot with a detailed note. The height is truly astonishing. This shot is falls in line with TE's philosophy of sharing info about our earth.
Well done and TFS

Hi Ian, interesting shot of this tall sea stack. I, and I'm sure many others haven't heard of Ball's Pyramid, so it's good to see it here.
Thanks, John
