Photographer's Note
The day that we visited the Central Coast started brightly enough but as sometimes happens the clouds rolled in,as a couple of days before the temp.had hit the 40s the change was welcome.
Long Jetty is a suburb of the Central Coast region of New South Wales, Australia, located on a peninsula between Tuggerah Lake and the Pacific Ocean south of The Entrance.

Hello Leslie - The white railing on the jetty leads the eye to the horizon and then the large expanse of sky. The mood is one of solitary pensiveness the the lone figure looking dwarfed by the immensity of the sky. Beautiful detail in this well structured and moody shot. Nice work! Warm regards Rosemary

Hi Les
an amazing jetty and a photographers dream of a composition. The heavy clouds add to the atmosphere as do the colours. Executed superbly and a distinctive presentation. Like it a lot!
Have a great weekend - Regards Brian.

Hi Leslie
An excellent shot
Gorgeous sky with clouds and strange blue and pink colors
Nicely composed along the pier perspective, the yellow greenery at FG and the trees at right to close the compo, under a good light
best regards, have a nice day

Hello Les,
I can fully understand why this place is called "Long Jetty"!
The long jetty and its white railings really make a strong statement and a strong compositional line in this picture, leading the eye well into the photograph and almost to the horizon. The addition of a lone figure standing on the jetty is an important feature too and, as well as adding human interest, also gives a sense of scale and "breaks up" that strong line very nicely.
And, as you say, what a sky! Did those clouds bring a lot of rain?
Gorgeous colours, perfect exposure and excellent details and sharpness.
Beautiful!
Kind Regards,
John.

The large and foreboding sky adds a ton to this shot, Les - the colors are outstanding, both in the sky and on the ground, and the jetty itself makes for a beautiful focal point and lead-in. Perfect placement of the lone figure as well, adding some nice human interest and scale to this wide open shot. Thanks!

Hi Les,
It sometime takes overseas visitors to remind us of what we have here. It is a while since I have visited long jetty but your image makes me want to get back there soon. Great Shot.

Trevor

Hello Leslie,
The cloudy sky here draws most of the attention to itself - it is so beautiful with those unreal colors! Understandably why you gave it so much space in the image. But the length of the Long Jetty is equally impressive, it seems to be almost reaching the horizon! The small lonely figure of a person helps put these dimensions into a good perspective. Great composition!
Warm regards,
Jenna
