Photographer’s Note
Cathedral Rock is an eroding volcanic plug south at the southern end of South Kiama beach on the NSW south coast. This one was taken just after dawn.

The light over the cathedral rock is extraordinary and created very beautiful colours. I like you POV from behind other rock formations and the way they frame the main subject of the picture. Well done,
Antonio

Hi Chris, this is beautiful. I've been to Kiama 3 times now, and obviously didn't get quite far enough. If I get down again I'll rectify that. These are great stacks of rock seen here, the shot with the early morning sun works well to show off the detail and colour. You have very good position on them placing them nicely up against that great sky. Is that a bird on the far column?
Thanks, John

Hello Chris!
That place looks wonderful with this unique shoreline and your picture is excellent, presenting it to me in the best way possible! Sharpness is very good and pretty suitable to the image, exposure is correct, colors are beautiful and most of all, the point of view was very well chosen and your composition is superb! You smartly, cleverly and wonderfully placed those rocky "towers" in the frame and the visual impact is great!
TFS - congratulations!
My warmest regards and greetings from Brazil,

Hello Chris
From the thumbnail, the distant rock did look like a cathedral. Like the light on the rocks which play a very important role here, & add to that the yellow of the sulphur which accentuates the effect of the light. Lovely shot!
