Seamans Hut, near Mt Kosciusko
I just noticed after posting this photo, that it looks over sharpened, possible cause of this is that i have applied a lot of noise reduction and sharpening in the largeer file size, but when I reduced to 800pixels to post here, i seems to have condensed all the sharpening.
so i guess the solution is to sharpen last after resizing.
any comments welcome

Nice colors and composition here Trevor. You assesment that you need to sharpen after resizing is right on the mark.
Do you scan your images from prints? If so that could be part of the problem; that you need too much sharpening. I've had similar problems before going digital. Though I can't speak from experience, I've been told you get much better results by scanning the negative.

very nice colour and composition indeed. The blue tone of the sky is just fantastic combined with the greens of the grass and the whites of the rocks. A very good texture too on the stone wall... especially on the shadowy part.
Actually my experience with sharpening tells me otherwise. If you sharpen the large picture, it will look considerably softer whan you resize it... but we agree on sharpen after resize, eventhough it's for a different reason :)

Je trouve ta photo un peu sur-exposée, certaines zones presque cramées. Cela aurait peut être bien rendu aussi d'opter pour une focale plus courte afin d'ouvrir le paysage sur la gauche.
Pas mal en tout cas !
